"Highlights" of the integrated forest fire risk factor monitoring stations
Article source:Weather station time:2024-07-15 09:23:00 viewed:499times
In the Natural Disaster Emergency Response Capacity Improvement Project, special emphasis is placed on the construction of a forest and grassland fire risk sensing network. Emergency management authorities are responsible for deploying advanced monitoring stations in areas of high fire risk. These stations are able to collect key fire risk data, such as temperature, humidity and wind speed, to help produce more accurate fire risk warnings.
In this way, potential fire risks can be identified more quickly and early warnings issued in a timely manner, thus improving the ability to prevent fires. This will not only help to protect the forest-steppe, but also reduce the threat of fire to people's lives and property.
In order to enhance our region's ability to prevent forest and grassland fires, our company has developed a new integrated monitoring station for forest fire risk factors. The design of this monitoring station takes into full consideration of the special characteristics of the forest environment and adopts the following targeted design:
1. Considering the complexity of the forest environment, the monitoring station adopts a measurement method that is not easy to be blocked or obscured by plants to avoid blocking and obscuring;
2. no mechanically constructed sensors were used. This is because mechanical sensors may be entangled by plants, increasing the risk of failure;
3. sensors that are durable and less prone to wear and tear are used to avoid the use of consumable sensors, thus reducing maintenance costs and frequency.
The monitoring station uses a micrometeorological instrument capable of measuring a wide range of meteorological conditions at once, such as temperature, humidity, light, wind speed, wind direction, rainfall and barometric pressure. It uses acoustic wave technology to measure wind speed and direction and has no mechanical parts, so it is not afraid of snow, ice or plant entanglement, avoiding the problem of traditional weather meters that can get clogged with leaves. Easy to use and simple to maintain, this device provides an efficient and reliable solution for fire risk monitoring.
