With the growing demand for mobile and precise data collection in modern meteorological monitoring, disaster prevention and mitigation, and specialized industries, traditional fixed weather stations can no longer meet the real-time environmental monitoring requirements in mobile scenarios. Based on this, Fengtu Technology has developed the FT-CZ5 Vehicle-Mount Weather Station. This device is a mobile automatic weather observation system integrating high-precision sensing and positioning technologies, designed to provide professional-grade meteorological data support for moving platforms.
The core of the device is a five-element integrated sensor capable of simultaneously and continuously monitoring five meteorological parameters: wind speed, wind direction, air temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure. This integrated design eliminates the complexity of assembling multiple devices, significantly improving deployment efficiency.
Wind speed and direction monitoring utilize the ultrasonic principle, calculating values by measuring changes in the propagation speed of ultrasonic waves in the air. This technology has no moving parts, fundamentally avoiding the accuracy degradation and lifespan issues associated with mechanical sensors due to bearing wear. The sensor housing is made of high-strength ABS material with excellent corrosion resistance and an overall protection rating of IP65, making it suitable for various harsh outdoor weather conditions. The innovative hidden probe design in the top cover effectively prevents the accumulation of rain, snow, and obstruction by foreign objects, ensuring data continuity and accuracy.
To accommodate the specific requirements of mobile vehicle-based measurement, the FT-CZ5 is specially optimized for installation and positioning. The device base is equipped with high-strength magnets (rubber-coated) for secure and non-destructive attachment to vehicle rooftops, enabling quick installation and removal.
It features a built-in electronic compass that automatically calibrates when the device orientation changes randomly, ensuring a correct reference for wind direction measurement. The device integrates BeiDou and GPS dual-mode positioning systems, capable of tagging each set of meteorological data with precise geographical location information, achieving a positioning accuracy of 0.1 meters, which meets the needs of mobile mapping.
The FT-CZ5 comes standard with a USB data cable for easy connection to devices like laptops for data reading and analysis. It is powered by a built-in 12,000mAh high-capacity lithium battery, supporting over 50 hours of continuous operation on a full charge, with a data storage capacity of no less than 500,000 entries, sufficient for prolonged field survey missions.
Furthermore, Fengtu Technology offers the enhanced FT-CZ5S model, which integrates multi-channel wide-angle cameras on top of the base version, enabling synchronized monitoring and backhaul of video footage alongside meteorological data. Although power consumption increases slightly, it provides a more intuitive information dimension for on-site command and situation assessment.
