Police radar gun transmits radio waves towards vehicles based on the Doppler effect, determining vehicle speed based on the echo frequency. It supports both vehicle-mounted dynamic speed measurement and fixed-point speed measurement. The device features overspeed threshold setting, overspeed ratio display, and historical data query and export functions. Its measurement range is 1 to 240 km/h, with an error of ±1 km/h, making it suitable for scenarios such as roads, factories, and campuses.
Police radar gun is a portable speed measuring device designed based on the Doppler effect principle. It transmits radio waves towards vehicles; when the radio wave energy impacts the vehicle, a portion of the energy returns to the radar antenna. The device determines the vehicle speed based on the frequency change of the returned signal. This device supports both vehicle-mounted dynamic speed measurement and fixed-point speed measurement modes and can be flexibly deployed in different scenarios such as handheld, vehicle-mounted, or tripod-mounted.
In terms of functional configuration, Police radar gun provides complete overspeed management capabilities. Users can customize the overspeed threshold, and the device supports both automatic and manual sampling modes. During speed measurement, the device displays the overspeed ratio in real time, calculated as the real-time speed minus the speed limit, then divided by the speed limit. The device also displays the maximum speed reached by the target during the measurement and records the three most recent overspeed data points, including the overspeed time and specific overspeed value. It features built-in Chinese/English bilingual switching to meet the needs of different usage environments. All historical data supports local querying and batch export archiving.
In terms of technical parameters, Police radar gun uses a 24GHz radar frequency, making it less susceptible to rain and fog. The measuring range is 1 to 240 km/h, with a resolution of 0.1 km/h and a speed measurement error of ±1 km/h. The maximum measuring distance is no less than 200 meters, and the vertical angle is automatically compensated. The device has a built-in 3600mAh battery, providing at least 10 hours of continuous operation. The entire unit weighs 504 grams, and the casing is made of ABS resin, allowing for operation by a single person.
In practical applications, Police radar gun can be used to quickly measure the speed of passing vehicles by setting up temporary checkpoints on roads, curves, near schools, or in accident-prone areas where there are no fixed speed measuring devices. It can also be used for speed measurement on suburban and mountainous roads. In factory environments, this device can be used to measure the speed of moving objects such as forklifts and winches to ensure production safety. Furthermore, the device supports non-contact measurement, making it suitable for situations where installing sensors or markers on targets is not permitted or necessary. It is important to note that this device is not suitable for scenarios requiring high-precision, long-term continuous monitoring, nor is it suitable for environments with dense traffic flow and multiple targets at similar speeds.
