Meteorological Science Popularization in Schools: Campus Weather Station Introduction
Article source:Weather station time:2024-10-21 08:58:59 viewed:21times
Meteorological science popularization can help students understand natural phenomena and cultivate their interest in science and spirit of exploration. By learning meteorological knowledge, students can better understand the impact of weather changes on life, improve their ability to respond to natural disasters, and enhance environmental protection awareness.
Looking around the world, many countries attach great importance to meteorological science popularization activities in primary and secondary school campuses. For example, in some places, meteorological bureaus will cooperate with schools to carry out various meteorological science popularization projects.
In this project, staff from the meteorological bureau will go to schools to give meteorological science popularization lectures and introduce meteorological observation instruments, the production process of weather forecasts, and methods for dealing with meteorological disasters to students. Students can also experience the charm of meteorological science firsthand through activities such as visiting meteorological observation stations and participating in meteorological experiments.
In addition, school teachers will also integrate meteorological science popularization into daily teaching. For example, in geography classes, teachers can explain the relationship between meteorology and the geographical environment; in science classes, teachers can guide students to conduct meteorological experiments, such as making simple meteorological observation instruments.
Campus Weather Station is a type of weather station, a meteorological observation facility specially set up for primary and secondary school campuses.
Many schools will not be equipped with weather stations. Now, the editor will give a detailed introduction:
In terms of sensors, there should be sensors for temperature, humidity, air pressure, wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, etc. For data acquisition and transmission, a data collector can be selected, and both wired and wireless transmission methods are available. The display part uses a display screen to show meteorological data and can be matched with a science popularization display board. For installation, a sturdy support should be selected, equipped with lightning protection facilities, and maintenance tools should be prepared. The software can include meteorological software and rich teaching resources such as textbooks and courseware.
