The Road Weather Station is a crucial infrastructure for ensuring the safe operation of highway traffic. Its core architecture consists of several automatic weather stations distributed at key locations along highways, connected via a network to form a meteorological monitoring network covering major highway routes. These automatic weather stations are deployed based on scientific principles and can continuously and automatically monitor a variety of key meteorological and road surface parameters along highways, including visibility, road surface conditions, wind direction, wind speed, air temperature, humidity, rainfall, and road surface temperature.

Through various means, such as sending early warning notifications to highway administrators, displaying warning information on electronic screens along highways, and pushing reminder messages to passing drivers, it rapidly conveys danger alerts to relevant personnel. This helps administrators take emergency response measures promptly and guides drivers to make advance preparations, thereby significantly improving the safety level of highway traffic operation and reducing traffic accidents caused by adverse meteorological conditions.
