Based on the Doppler effect, Radar speed gun calculates target speed by emitting high-frequency electromagnetic waves and receiving reflected signals. It supports both vehicle-mounted dynamic speed measurement and fixed-point speed measurement. The built-in printer can print speeding time, speeding value, and other data in real time, making it suitable for traffic enforcement and industrial inspection scenarios.
Radar speed gun is a portable speed measuring device based on the Doppler effect. This device emits high-frequency electromagnetic waves. When the energy of the electromagnetic waves impacts a moving target (such as a vehicle), a portion of the energy returns to the radar antenna. The device calculates the target speed based on the frequency change of the returned signal. The speed measurement range covers 1 to 240 km/h, with a resolution of 0.1 km/h and a measurement error controlled within ±1 km/h, meeting the data reliability requirements of traffic enforcement. The device uses a 24GHz radio frequency and is waterproof, dustproof, and anti-interference capable, allowing stable operation in rainy, foggy, and nighttime conditions.
In terms of functionality, Radar speed gun supports speeding value settings and provides both automatic and manual sampling modes. The display shows the overspeed ratio (real-time speed minus the speed limit, then divided by the speed limit) and the maximum speed reached by the target during the measurement process in real time. The device has a built-in portable printer that can print overspeed data in real time, including key information such as overspeed time, overspeed value, location, and speed limit. Users can edit department, personnel, and address information, select specific records to print, or print the maximum value from the three most recent overspeed records. The device also supports historical data query and export functions for easy later organization and archiving.
Radar speed gun is suitable for various application scenarios. In traffic management, law enforcement officers can temporarily set up checkpoints on roads, curves, near schools, or accident-prone sections without fixed speed measuring equipment to measure the speed of passing vehicles. Some models support vehicle-mounted installation, enabling mobile speed measurement while in motion. In industrial inspection, this device can be used to monitor the speed of moving objects such as forklifts and winches within factory areas to ensure production safety. The device uses a non-contact measurement method, eliminating the need for any sensors or markers on the target.
The Radar speed gun features an ABS resin casing, weighs approximately 504 grams, and is equipped with a 3600mAh battery, allowing for over 10 hours of continuous operation on a single charge. Operators can use the device handheld or mounted on a tripod. It should be noted that this device is not suitable for scenarios requiring high-precision, long-term continuous monitoring, nor is it suitable for use in environments with multiple or densely packed targets.
